OK, I've found the solution: simply attaching the Panasonic to the
connectors on the FRONT of the TV is all that's needed; for some reason
when the Panasonic is connected in the rear, it's quieter.
I like the four year old Toshiba better, in general, but the recent
Panasonic I got from Target will simply play anything, so I have them
both connected when necessary.
