In the C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc directory, I found the original
"host" file (no extension) and renamed it "host.old". Then copied the
new "host" file into that same directory. I've opened up the file in
Notepad, and it contains entries that look like:
"82.195.155.5 c3310.z1301.winmx.com " [repeated with slight
variations]
I made sure all the columns lined up. Didn't help.
