I am but I recognize a superior culture when I see one. Without the French
we'd still be reading things like Tom Clancy instead of James Joyce.
Neither French I know but if it wasn't for the French Joyce would never have
existed. Same could be said for Melville; Pynchon; Gaddis; Bester.
