Well, it could be the "PIE Patch" installer doesn't treat the existing
data in a user's "hosts" file that well after all, it's been claimed it
does though, but I wouldn't know really as I don't use it myself.

I say, that's news to me then! I don't understand why that would
happen. Maybe we should ask KM to explain this behavior.
