One more thing,

Most programs that restore files within the problem drive will only
prompt you for the first letter of the filename as that was changed
during the delete process. If your FAT (file allocation table) is
really bad, those programs will show no files are available for
restoring, then you are stuck with 'GetdataBack for FAT32', or the
Ontrak Data Recovery program (which is a bit faster than
GetDataBack). If you are really desperate, remove the drive from it's
external housing and plug it into your IDE bus for a direct,
high-speed read/recover. Don't let it sit there going through USB2.
