According to whom?
Or perhaps you have some necrophiliac fantasies you are dying to share?

Are you some sort of cyber-coroner?

Ah, yes... by all means refer to users of WinMX, on alt.music/mp3.wimx, as
morons... that should win you copious credibility points.

So you say... but you know, plenty of people use "shit" (but they politely
refer to it as manure) and swear it makes their garden grow.

> So use BitTorrent. It's much better than WinMX, which is shit.

Constantly - and without basis. You like BitTorrent, that much is
abundantly obvious, but *WHY* it's such a superior app, you fail to
explain. Your hatred of WinMX is equally without foundation - people are
just supposed to take the word of someone posting under the nym of
"Anonymous" without any verifiable history as to your credibilty?

For those just dropping by, BitTorrent was supposed to be the next "big
thing", and it certainly showed promise, but the fact users were easily
traceable (equal to, or moreso, than traditional P2P applications), and the
fact creator Bram Cohen went on record (after aligning with the copyright
cartel) as saying that BT was *never* meant for "infringement" means one
should approach with extreme caution.

The RIAA had a stunning success in shutting down "torrent tracker" sites,
and flushed with that "victory", you can expect them to continue. I will go
out on a limb here and make a prediction... BitTorrent will become a
commercial application (where it can serve a viable <read: legal> purpose)
under the purview, or control of, the BSA, RIAA, MPAA and any other trade
organization with a vested interest in how the new technology affects their
business model.

Sure, BT is good (to a point).
So is WinMX (equally).
And IRC, and FTP, and DC++, and usenet and IM progs and even some websites.
However... don't for a moment think any one is better than the other - they
are what "we" (TINW) use until something better comes along. And "better"
is, as always, subjective.

Oh, BTW, I use all of the above - and while I have my favourites, I
denigrate none. Sorry, you aren't the person to sway my opinion... but nice
try.
