Last time i checked, Internet Relay Chat was alive and well, and the riaa is
not able to do much about it, since it is difficult to prove who sent what.
Very few, if any, irc users have been prosecuted successfully by the riaa.
You can send and get files to your heart's content down there. And, the
program to do it is free, and works excellent. (Mirc). I run both, and i get
a hell of a lot more files through irc than i do on WinMX. WinMX may "access
the millions", but it dont work that hot, and that is a a fact.
If you are an old time radio collector, get a copy of mirc, join Undernet,
and join #mp3oldtimeradio, a one of a kind channel on irc. There are
probably in excess of 100,000 files being shared on the channel right now.
You can actually GET some files, RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting milleniums
for WinMX to come up with them.......
