Thank You everyone for all the suggestions.
For now I chose http://www.yousendit.com/ and it worked great was able
to transfer the file 300000kb in 1 hour as opposed to 2 :). It will
accomodate a 1GB transfer and worked a-ok with my old Win ME.
I am going to pursue the icq also as it sounds excellent.
It looks similar to msn messenger.....with the added bebefit of
continuing a download/upload after a crash and also the folder sharing
thing looks great
