I have an older Kenwood Excelon KDC-X659 MP3 deck. I don't think it has
browse capability, but when skipping to folders it shows them as Folder01...
It does not load file display info (ID3 Tag or File/Folder depending on your
setting) until it plays about 3 secs into the track. You may not be able to
browse by names (unless your model can do this, I don't think mine can). It
seems to me that it loads display info at track playing, not in advance.
BTW- What great deck! Has not failed to load a disc or skip in 4 years now &
plays anything I throw in it!
