WARNER MUSIC CEO Edgar Bronfman ADMITS To ILLEGAL Price Fixing Scheme

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference, Bronfman said
that not all songs and not all time periods were created equal. The
music industry wanted and will insist on having, variable pricing, he
proclaimed.

"To have only one price point is not fair to our artists, and I dare
say not appropriate to consumers. The market should decide, not a
single retailer," said Mr. Bronfman. "Some songs should be $0.99
and some songs should be more.

If he feels so strongly about it then why don't they just raise their
wholesale prices towards Itunes , or drop selling songs through Itunes
altogether ?

Products have a wholesale price , the retailer buys them at that price
then resales it with a markup for profit.

So if they want more money then their only option legally is to raise
their wholesale prices. Then Itunes would buy it for more and resale it
for more or not buy it at all.
