WMP10 doesn't use LAME, and it doesn't even allow using bit rates
other than its arbitrarily preset ones, 128, 192, 256 and 320; and
there is no VBR, which is the way to get virtual CD quality. Its
ripping options are also grossly simplified, unlike the free CDex,
which is both easy to use and fully featured. CDex also comes with
LAME built in.
