Yes I have...and it's like comparing Gala with Golden Delicious. There
isn't any difference in terms of sound quality assuming the files were
encoded at the same bit and sample rate.
A cryptographer is unnecessary. Convert your DRM wma's into Audio CD
format. From there you can encode to a lossy (unprotected) codec or
lossless .wav. or a myriad of other file types. The point is the file
will no longer be protected. Any loss of sound quality? NO!!!!!!!!
Once the file is in a lossless format you can encode at a high bit and
sampling rate, and actually improve the sound quality!!! The trick is
to not recompress at anything lower than 1:4. Better yet...keep it
lossless ie., apple lossless or wav.
