Two questions for the wise readers of the board:
1) Is there a (preferably free) program that can strip an entire folder of
mp3s of their ID tags? They're sometimes misleading, and a bit troublesome
to remove one-by-one...
2) Is there a (again, preferably free) program that can level out the volume
of a folder of mp3s? I remember having one once that could alleviate the
problem you get when the original CDs are recorded at different sound
levels, so you constantly have to turn the volume up and down if you're
playing a tracklist with songs from different sources - but I can't remember
the name :/
If I remember correctly, it simply scanned the songs for the highest
occuring sound level and adjusted up or down accordingly to match a given
standard.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks in advance!
