I am on the verge of buying the Sony NWHD5 Silver mp3 player, to be honest
moreso for its looks than function. It has the style I like (aluminum
case). I have heard stories about it that worry me though, like digital
rights managment making it difficult to transfer songs to it? Can anybody
tell me good or bad points about this mp3 player?
I do own 99.9% legal music, just a few songs downloaded off various sites.
But I do own CDs that I could rip using the software to put on the Sony
mp3 player. But I heard you can only transfer songs to and from the
computer that you originally rip the music to?
Any tips or advice appreciated. Were it not for the style, I would likely
go with the Creative Zen Touch, also 20GB, but that has few digital rights
issues and can also play ogg vorbis music files and can work with the
Linux operating system that I normally use (but I dual boot my computer
and can use WindowsXP to manage music on the Sony NWHD5).
