Thanks again for your comments. My sound card won't be doing A->D
conversion. The mp3 player does that. The host computer will simply
be taking an anolog signal into line-in and interpreting it. Either
way, the sound card wouldn't vary, so it shouldn't have an effect on
the experiment. I am an audio engineer intern, and an electrical
engineering senior at U-Texas, so this project is appropriate to
tackle. I'm doing a series of other experiments related to mp3 also
(power, stress testing). I'll try to keep this thread updated with the
progress / questions if yer' interested. Thanks !
