I will also mention that this month, the companies that market the copy
protection such as CSS on DVD have launched lawsuits against companies that
make media servers...those are computer based servers that feed video to a
home network with more than one TV. In fact, one media server company
*paid the licensing fee* to CSS and was told that it could only use the
license to *disable its server* by using the copyprotection (in other words
use the licensed technology to stop the server from working) .. the media
server could not circumvent DVD copy protection and distribute bought media
to more than one TV. The case is pending.
