Did you point Windows Find to the correct location?
My instructions would have been a bit different that TechnoB's. For
Win98...
1. Ctrl + F
2. In the "Named" field, type in "*.mp3" without quotes
3. Tick "Include subfolders"
4. Use the Browse button to select the parent folder
5. Press "Find Now"
The results window may pop up a message that the number of files found
exceeds the number allowed (10,000). No matter, select all in the
results window then cut and paste to your new folder.
Keep repeating all the above until they are all moved.
