Depends how you define "simple".

SnackAmp is multi-platform and based around the idea of intelligent
playlists that can be nested in a tree-format to just about any depth you
like.

Undoubtedly full featured and powerful, if a little ugly. I found it a bit
too "n-dimensional", but I looked at a fairly old version, and you may get
on with it better.
