I think the biggest problem with HDTV movies won't be consumer
reluctance to buy the *DISCS*, it will be consumer reluctance to by the
*TV's*. Decently sized HDTV's are still in the $1,000+ range. They've
come a long way down since they were introduced, but they're still
going to have to come way down before they become "mainstream" (when
you can go into Walmart and buy a 32" HDTV for <$500). Original DVD
really didn't have this problem.
