A wav file can be burned onto a CDR to make a Audio CD.
But this wav file must be 16 bits stereo at a 44100 Hz sample rate.
Many free audio editors can do the transformation if it is not to standard.
Next with your CD burner choose the option "Make an Audio CD"
and not a Data CD.
