Woody Guthrie's guitar famously proclaimed "This guitar kills fascists"
(IIRC). Not aware that it ever did (literally) but it left little
doubt of what was in its owner's mind. I don't recall any other
instrument being more famous for what was written on it than any of its
other qualities.
