I`m debating getting a DVD writer, and my choice of vendor from previous
good experience would probably be SVP...
Anyone got any comments on particular models ? (further to the one in
the other thread about some NEC drives being weak for reading damaged
discs)

(i`m not particularly arsed about paying over the odds for lightscribe
discs when a marker will usually do at 1/4 of the cost...)
There appears to be a few brands of discs that the Pioneer firmware
isn`t happy with at present, which is why i`m slightly hesitant at just
buying that - I would have grabbed the older 109 but they`re not in
stock any more...
I`m happy enough to stick with slower burn speeds - do all DVD burners
have the equivalent of "burn proof" now, if for some reason the computer
can`t buffer the data fast enough ?
