||||| Never fill in those *unsubscribe* e-mails - all you do is validate
||||| your e-mail address and you get deluged in spam. The best way to
||||| avoid spam is to a buy a domain name because the bots mostly go
||||| after the @yahoo, @blueyonder, @aol etc. addresses and if you need
||||| to provide a working addy for a web sign-up then use one of those
||||| self-destructing e-mail addresses - once you have got the serial
||||| number or login - you don't need the addy again so it dies after

I don't know what the technical term is - they're certainly not an ISP. They
provide access to newsgroups for a lot of people around here - they used to
be free of charge, but now cost 10 Euros a year, which is a very cheap and
welcome alternative to Tiscali.where.the.hell.did.that.post.get.to.news, for
me, at least.
I'm slightly concerned about revealing my own pet spam solution, because it
involves using the M word, which I know causes grave offence to some. Oh
what the heck - it's using Microsoft Outlook 2003 for email; the Junk Mail
folder is just great - very little crap slips through to the Inbox, and I
think it has accidentally trapped one piece of mail that wasn't actually
crap...
