The issue isn't whether we actually GET a hard drive or not, the issue
is whether developers DESIGN for it.
A hard drive that developers ignore is worthless (PS2, I'm looking in
your direction). *ALL* original Xbox's have hard drives, so developers
can count on this and design their games accordingly (using the hard
drive to cache content, save games, etc.). They won't be able to do
this with the 360. That means no disk caching (all content will have to
run directly from the DVD drive), no large game saves (no more "Knights
of the Old Republic" 25Mb saves with incredible detail), etc.
