That internet connection thing will have to go IMHO.

Are we saying that you cannot have a HD or BR player unless you also have to
pay to have a connection to an ISP? What happens if the connection is down
for any reason - you cannot watch your film? Unworkable bollocks

The very people who are considered early adopters are the same people who
are net savvy and go to great lengths to protect their machines from spyware
& malware - do you think they want some geek in Universal Studios knowing
precisely each time one of their films is watched?
