You miss the overall point. Which was that certain fans of certain
types of things, such as Star Wars, are so far up their own arse that
they can't concieve that some people aren't fans, and wouldn't
automatically work out what Episode III meant Star Wars.

Of course in context, in a Star Wars group say, or maybe even a scifi
group, you could get away with it. But to wander into territory which
isn't actually scifi and assume that most readers have exactly the same
priorities as yourself, stinks of plain rudeness.

I personally didn't know the third episode of Star Wars was out on DVD.
I've never been a big fan even since Return of the Jedi. I do think its
overrated, vastly vastly so. Its my opinion. I'm allowed one of those,
am I not? I don't refer to that last Star Wars as Episode III, because
its not important to me.

As for referring to it by episode numbers, this is kind of up its own
arse anyway, because its the sixth in a series anyway. But what the
hey, Star Wars fans have been a group of people I've never understood
anyway. Not because they like a movie, which I regard as shite. I like
plenty of shite movies. But its how I'm not allowed to dislike it....

(And as someone else pointed out, a better example would be Die Hard:
Episode III. I like Die Hard)
