Hello Paul,

What you might find invaluable when copying your old VHS stuff is the
ACE video converter from GTH Electronics. This is a British designed
and built piece of kit that solves many of the problems encountered
when copying from VHS to DVD - or even from DVD to DVD.

Last year I did a lot of research on the right equipment to buy and
you can take if from me that even today there is nothing to beat the
ACE converter anywhere at this price point. Apart from the many tweaks
available onboard to enhance old material, the ACE has a very
interesting (though for obvious reasons not widely-touted) feature
insofar as it allows you to make backup copies of your rare commercial
tapes/disks by stripping out the copy protection features on those
titles.

I advise you to call GTH Electronics where the staff will be pleased
to discuss your particular requirements and answer any further
technical questions. Yes. Unlike a lot of companies today, this lot
actually KNOW what they're talking about. Believe me. They do. I have
no hesitation in recommending them.

Good luck.

Marky
