And you can get RW discs BTW.

How long do HDs last? Its a fact they WILL fail.

I have plenty of knackered HDs. As for coasters, burn them correctly
and look after them. they are likely to outlive your hard drive if you
do so.

Nope. im not saying its a wild idea. Just correcting your statement
"Gig for gig HDDs are cheaper and becoming more so every day. "
Which is INCORRECT (albeit true they are becoming cheaper). If you
wish to change the subject to reliability, speed, longevity, thats
fine - but that wasnt something you spoke about - only the silly claim
regarding cost "gig for gig".
