I'd guess the easiest way would be to screw it in, then add a
black-velvet-covered frame onto it. You can get black caps for the screws
that go through the frame.

I think spraying would work best, but a roller should be ok if you're
careful/thorough.

You're filling the whole wall width with the screen? I don't think that's a
good idea to be honest. Best to leave room for effective left/right channel
speakers. Also, I think you'll find that a gap either side of the screen
just _looks_ more pleasing to the eye. Even if I had 'just' 7ft to play
with, I would still put the screen at 6ft max (even that's a little big for
that width I would say).

I have an 8.5ft screen. There's around a foot space on either side of it.

A friend of mine has a 7ft (fixed) screen. He has around 3-4feet on either
side of his.

I swear his one looks a lot bigger than mine when watching movies.
