Your PS2 doesn't need to be chipped. The later model "big" PS2s and all the  
new slimline PS2s will play DVD-Rs just fine. I think it even says so on the  
box. Pretty sure they don't play DVD+Rs at all. This is only for movies  
though. Games are a whole different ballgame. And newsgroup ;)
