O AND on the Studio 9 problem, pinnacle support finally said the problem was
the disk, sent a new one, arrived, uninstalled old 9 software, installed new
one, defragged, updated drivers, crashed 2 dozen times, 4 minutes max run
time, and each time without doing anything other than boot up 9 and watch it
till it crashed.
reformatted whole computer, updated software, drivers, etc. etc. etc. and
over 40 crashes even after turning off all resources possible, black and
white res, etc. etc. and I GAVE UP!
wrote pinnacle back and filed my complaint. 8 was great 9 is disaster!
10's coming. will it be good? geez, i hope so, and geez, i'd think they
give me a freebie with all the hogwash i've gone through since 7/3/05 :o(
