It's a trick question. HD isn't an industry spec. Check out arri.de
and look for the D-20, and check out the Thomson Viper. Film negs are
scanned at 4k lines of resolution.
1080 exists because of NTSC bandwidth: 13.5Mhz times 80 lines per MhZ.
13.5*80=1080, ergo full broadcast bandwidth.
However, there is more to it than this, but check out arri and thomson
for filmstyle bandwidth.
