You really believe that soccer moms and home movie buffs are buying
 Z1's?

I personally know of several Z1's in pro hands not yet heard of one in
the hands of a purely domestic user. Quite frankly I don't expect to
either. The BBC who have a couple of thousand compact DV's, mostly
PD150's and PD170's, are in the process of replacing them all with Z1's.
We have three Z1's and an FX1. This morning I received an A1, must be
amongst the first few in the UK, haven't had time to explore it much yet
but as far as I have been able to it's looking pretty amazing. It seems
to have a picture quality generally similar to the Z1, at least in the
good light conditions tested so far. Astonishing for such a tiny camera
costing less than $2,500. It appears to me that the A1 profoundly
underlines the nature of the acquisition revolution that is upsetting so
 many old school investments.

 Whatever next?
