Well it all depends like Richard pointed out, how far you are from the
nearest telephone co. building.
And don't forget how big America is, we have rural areas and large
metropolitan areas and everything inbetween.
I had trouble early on with dsl and I lived 3 city blocks from a
distribution hub, the wire quality has lots to do with it also.
After I moved and got cable, I never looked back. Satillite is an option,
slow upload however, so not good for sharing stuff at high speed.
And more expensive last time I checked.
But living out there, at least you got peace and quiet, hugh? :)
