Sorry to take so long to answer this post been so busy fighting off the
wolves. Here goes . . .
I have a trial version of Liquid Edition (sorry about the misspelling in my
earlier post :o) 6.0, trial version of Avid Express Pro, and trial version
of Canopus Edius Pro 3. LE's trial runs out soon and I've worked on it the
most since I'm going to do multi-cam and Canopus doesn't do it and I haven't
installed Avid yet (because I've been told that the learning curve is the
longest) I have . .
Pentium D (dual core) 3.0 GHz 1.0 Mb L2 cache each core 800 FSB
1.0 Gb 4200 DDR2 533 Hz
250 Gb 7.2K SATA 8 Mb cache (main drive)
300 Gb 7.2K SATA 8 Mb cache (media data drive)
160 Gb 7.2K IDE/USB 2.0 External for data transfer or (additional media
drive)
ATI Radeon X700 256 Mb graphics
Audigy 4, 5.1
MOTU 896HD 8 channel external A/D interface
I've the Mind Meld Training Video's and have learned thus far how to capture
and output without mod's or transitions although I'm not sure I'm outputing
properly since every DVD I've produced thus far has stop action like jumps
(like some frames or groups of frames are missing) and thus in an hour I
installed Canopus Edius Pro 3 and had captured and exported a DVD that
worked fine and could at least make some camera decisions :o)
So, for TV broadcast, commercials, weddings, and short/long movies which is
the best? How on earth do I evaluate these software and come to some
logical conclusion as to which to use?
Thanks in advance for your help.
