firewire is a transport protocol. The data transported by firewire is of no
defined protocol. You can transmit anything through firewire. Except coffee.
If your question is whether or not there is a 'connector' to convert DV to
SDI , the answer is no. There are plenty of methods available to generate an
SDI stream from a DV source or any other source for that matter. But it is a
conversion and requires either a render in your NLE and the hardware to
output the SDI or a dedicated converter of which there are many.
