I second that. You might be very disappointed with old SGI hardware and
get better bang for yor cash buying new PC/Mac hardware.
SGI are also up shit creek without a paddle having just been booted off the
NYSE. I would steer clear as unless you have a very particular need for
smoke and flame you might get better value and functionality from the likes
of Avid, Adobe or Apple.
I personally wouldn't buy into SGI hardware even their new stuff and
certainly not old stuff.
Dar, what versions of hardware and software are you thinking of buying?
