Digital Fusion is also pretty cool for compositing if that's what they
need. Personally I much prefer the node-based design to Combustion's
design, I haven't used Smoke or Flame but presume the interface is
similar to Combustion.

Yeah, much as I liked working on SGIs ten years ago, a modern PC or Mac
is almost certainly far faster than an old SGI.
