It took Apple to show them it could be done. But
it might well be too late. As with prohibition, individual
transgression has been replaced with a trangressive infrastructure that
will not be easily suppressed.
That is a very good point!
If the music industry made quality downloads readily (legally) available
early on in the internet development cycle it would have prevented the
illegal download mindset that will be very difficult to overcome for
generations. Very true in my opinion.
