You may have seen my other thread re: OOS audio problems. To recap, when
recording to h/d via Firewire passthrough from analog VCR through a Sony
Dig8 cam, the audio gets out of sync, it gets progressively worse the
farther into the program you get.
I've made the discovery that this *doesn't* happen if instead of coming in
from a VCR, I play a tape recorded in Dig8 format directly from the cam
through the Firewire cable. No OOS audio. It also doesn't happen when
recording directly from VCR to the h/d in mjpeg format via the composite
analog inputs.
I didn't have this problem when using a previous install of the O/S WinXP
home.
A summary of my system:
-Compaq Deskpro EN PIII 933 mhz
-Separate dedicated 7200 rpm 120 gig h/d
-Both C and D drives formatted to to NTFS
-Sound and Firewire port via Audigy2 Soundcard
-Pinnacle Studio 9 with 9.4.3 update patch
-Pinnacle DC10Plus capture card (for analog in)
-Sony TRV240 Dig8 Handycam
-WinXP Home
Thanks for all shared wisdom
