Nothing you have written would preclude the ADS box from
just being broken. Being recognized by the OS is just one of
a great many steps that must be accomplished to capture video.
It happens sometimes that you will get a new product that is
DOA. Especially if it hangs with ALL those different software
applications. Did the Pyro box come with any software?
Have you tried Scenalyzer and/or DVIO?
