There is a newsgroup where working professionals
in the industry discuss these kinds of things every day.

Note that big-budget feature films hire professional actors
who are expected to be able to do "ADR" (automated dialog
replacement) or "looping" as it used to be called. But even
they spend hours in an ADR stage repeating their lines over
and over until they can match themselves on screen.

At my "office" we occasionally "loop" dialog that we
have shot in the cleanroom fab. But the mouths of the
"actors" are covered by cleanroom hoods or helmets,
and we can't see their mouths! Even then, it is sometimes
challenging. :-)

Dunno if it is still there, but when I went to Disney World
(Orlando) there was an "atraction" which was essentially
a Foley stage. They showed a short movie clip (~3 min)
with the professional track, then had members of the audience
attempt to reproduce all the SFX on stage to match the picture.
The effect was invariably hilarious to the audience and was
a great illustration that it is not nearly as easy as it looks.
