Be advised Gary is an Avid Forum moderator and legendary SPAMMER so don't
expect unbiased views.

There are plenty of unbiased reviews on the net that question why Liquid was
promoted to Liquid 7 as there isn't much added to warrant the "7." Liquid
has stood still.

Having said that Liquid 7 outperforms Avid Xpress Pro HD on many levels such
as 5.1 audio support, background rendering, GPU assisted rendering and
full-screen preview. Now that Liquid is part of the Avid line up expect its
development to slow. Avid develop their products as slowly as they think
they can get away with to protect the stupid prices of their system
products. Avoid Avid as you product will stagnate behind the likes of
Apple, Adobe, Sony and Canopus. Not only that expect to become an unpaid
beta tester of updates. Avid has typically taken until a .5 release to
produce a stable version of its latest release.

Better integration and more cost effective of NLE, DAW and DVD authouring
can be found elsewhere.

A wised up Avid user.
