 The computer monitor has no effect on video editing
 unless you make the mistake of trying to judge the
 quality and/or make adjustments to your television
 picture based on the image on your computer screen.
 
 Buy as big a monitor as you can afford. The more screen
 real-estate you have, the easier it will be to do video
 editing.
 
 If you do any critical evaluation or manipulation to
 a television picture on your computer, by all means
 use a conventional TV screen to view it on. It is
 virtually impossible to accurately judge television
 pictures on a computer screen.
