 I will add that, IME, USB creates headaches (as predicted by someone in
 another froup).  My external (HD-) array runs USB2 and it get's burpy
 during period of high throughput.  I can only imagine that this will be
 worse with a DVD-ROM drive.  I'll be upgrading to FW800 next time I
 crack the case on my HDPC.
 
 Anyway- to my previous request of storage and reading, I'll now add a
 dvd-burner (or two) and an additional reader (or two).
