0K.
I read all the threads.
I think I'll continue on with what I'm doing now.
However I think for very special situations where quality is very
important I'm going to try DVD Rebuilder and see if that gives me a
significant improvement in quality. I'll only try it where I have a
long movie (needs lot"s of compression) and I want to preserve
quality as much as possible. Just let it run over night if need be.
Also...
As far as using deep analysis plus AEC.
When I use AEC I always set it to "smooth". Without it I've found the
motion to be sometimes unnatural which bothers me a lot more than
losing a little detail. Smooth seems to take care of this. Perhaps
without it frames are being dropped.
BTW I watch on a Panasonic 52" LCD Projection HDTV from about 10 feet.
Only the DVD player is connected to it through component cable. The
sound track goes through my audio system to a pair of large Advent
speakers. They each have two 8 inch woofers plus midrange and
tweeters. All in all it makes a very decent home theater system at
least for my purposes.
