Roxio will burn it fine, but it is not meant as an extraction program, you
need to use something else to get the clip from the homemade dvd...like
DVDDecrypter, or DVD Shrink. I would use DVDShrink and use the start point
and end point feature, then you can reburn it with Roxio after you have the
clip.
