When you say data, do you mean video data? It certainly works with my
Mac, so should think it would work for you. However, it may depend on
wether or not your editing software thinks a recorfer is connected. In
my case. I can output to a digita; cancorder, or just connect the
firewire cable directly to my Phillips DVD recorder.
