I have trouble with My Computer icons too. Right click on the optical
drive icon. When it opens the dropdown menu, the drive is ready so now
you can open it in your application.

The 2510 is old. Get an NEC 3540. Or wait for the new 3550 which does
not have Riplock, so I am told.
