That's like asking somebody in 1992 if they think they'd need a HD with
more than 1 GB. Evolving software came along ready to make use of that
capacity and the processing power that came with it. More high def.
video is a possible use, but these disks will probably be used
primarily for data storage. Within a few years, MS will release a new
version of Windows that will probably require constant swapping of
these next-gen discs.
Now if only Hollywood could provide something that actually makes use
of this new technology...
